ABOUT JOSHUA GOLDSTEIN

Joshua Goldstein is a versatile and dedicated trumpet performer and educator based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. With a Master of Music in Trumpet Performance from the University of Delaware and a Bachelor's of Music degree from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at California State University, Long Beach, Joshua has cultivated a broad range of experience across orchestral, chamber, and band settings.

He currently performs with the Delaware County Symphony and Lower Merion Symphony, and has previously held positions with ensembles such as the Chesapeake Brass Band (as Solo Cornet), Coronado Philharmonia Orchestra, and the University of Delaware Symphony Orchestra. Joshua is also the founder of the Sunshine Brass Quintet, demonstrating his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to chamber music.

His orchestral foundation was built through performances with the BCCM Symphony and Wind Symphony, the Young Musicians Foundation Orchestra, and the La Jolla Symphony and Chorus. He has further honed his artistry through participation in prestigious summer programs including Chosen Vale, Montecito Music Festival, and the Boston University Tanglewood Institute.

As an educator, Joshua brings his passion to programs like Tune Up Philly and the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra.  His pedagogical approach is informed by extensive private study with notable trumpet teachers such as Christopher Underwood, John Wilds, Ryan Darke, Robert Frear, and Frank Glasson.

Whether on stage or in the classroom, Joshua Goldstein brings technical precision, musical sensitivity, and a deep enthusiasm for sharing the art of trumpet playing.
